B.E. degree programmes (four academic year): A pass in HSc (academic) with mathematics, physics and chemistry; or a pass in HSc (vocation stream) with mathematics or Physics and related vocational subjects; or diploma in any one of the programmes viz., civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, chemical and computer science and engineering or any other equivalent examination approved by the Annamalai university with a minimum percentage of marks as detailed below

Required minimum marks - Academic stream, Vocational stream and diploma holders

Community H.Sc (academic)/H.Sc (vocational) and diploma (average in V and VI semesters)

O.C. 55% average in the related subjects

B.C. 50% average in the related subjects

MBC/DNC 45% average in the related subjects

SC/ST mere pass

B.E. (part time) degree programmes 3 years: A pass in diploma course in the related subjects viz., Civil/Civil and Structural/Architecture/ Mechanical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control/ Electronics Engineering/ Information Technology Chemical conducted by the state board of technical education of Tamilnadu or its equivalent examination with 3 years professional experience in a recognized industry or organization after passing the diploma examination

The admission is restricted to those working or residing within a radius of 75 km from Annamalainagar

The application should be sent through their employers. However the advance copy with all documents complete in all respect should be received before the last date. The application through proper channel is to be received before entrance test

Minimum experience on 01.07.2010 3 years after passing Diploma course examinations. Entrance examination and interview will be conducted on 02.07.2010 forenoon at Annamalainagar

B.Pharm degree programme (four academic years): A pass in H.Sc examination or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology/botany and zoology/mathematics/Bio-technology/computer science. For SC/ST candidates the minimum qualification is a pass in the above subjects.

A pass in diploma in Pharmacy course as per new educational regulations of pharmacy council of India

A pass in B.Sc degree in one attempt with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology and Computer science subjects either at the plus two level or at the graduate level

B.Pharm (lateral entry system) degree programme - 3 years: A pass in D.Pharm with an aggregate of not less than 50% of marks in the I and II year D.Pharm. Examination from Annamalai University or any other University or Board recognized as equivalent thereto by the university

Pharm.D (six year integrated) degree programme: A pass in any of the following examinations (i) 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects Mathematics or Biology (ii) a pass in D.Pharm from an institution approved by Pharmacy council of India, under section 12 of the Pharmacy act

Pharm.D (post Baccalaureate) degree programme - 3 years: A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by Pharmacy council of India. Candidate will entry into IV year of six year integrated programme

D.Pharm programme - 2 academic years: A pass in H.Sc examination or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology/Mathematics; a pass in B.Sc degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects either at the plus two level or at the graduate level

Age limit

B.Pharm., D.Pharm., and Pharm.D (six year integrated) programmes: The candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2010 (no request for relaxation of the age limit will be entertained)

How to apply: Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the registrar, Annamalai university, Annamalainagar-608002 from the date scheduled above on payment of prescribed fee in person or by sending a demand draft obtained on or after 16.04.2010 drawn in favour of the registrar, Annamalai university, Annamalainagar from any bank, payable at Chennai along with a self addressed stamped thick kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm (stamps affixed to the value of Rs 30/-) with the name of the programme for which the application is required should be superscripted boldly on the envelope. The name of the programme should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The name and address of the candidate and programme for which application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the demand draft also
