APPLICATION COST:
1. Rs.200/- (Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PH) for All PG Courses
2. Rs.300/-(Rs.150for SC/ST/PH)for M.Phil Courses
3. Rs.350/-(Rs.150 for SC/ST/PH)for M.B.A., M.C.A., and M.Tech. .Courses.
4. Rs.500/-(Rs.250/-for SC/ST/PH) for M.Ed. Courses
5. Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH) for Certificate Courses respectively in the form of Demand Draft drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Payable at Salem. Other modes of payment are strictly not allowed. A self addressed stamped envelope for Rs.40/- size 28X13cms has to be enclosed to get the application by post. Separate request has to be made for each programme. The envelope requesting application form may be superscribed "Request for Application Form for Admission".

MODE OF SELECTION : For M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, Selection will be based on the entrance examination to be held during June 2009 in the University Campus. Candidates appearing for final semester / Year examination can also apply provided they satisfy the eligibility conditions for admission at the time of joining.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
For M.B.A. Eligibility: Any Graduate with 50% of marks and Appearance in MAT/CAT/TANCET-2009
Admission : Through MAT/CAT/TANCET-2009 scores, group discussion and personal interview.
For M.C.A. Eligibility : Candidates who have secured 55% of marks or above in any one of the following or equivalent, are eligible to apply, (i) Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics at +2 level (or) (ii) Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the allied courses.
Admission: Through TANCET -2009 score and academic score in UG Programme
For M.Tech. Exploration Geology and Geoinformatics : Eligibility: M.Sc. Degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Geosciences/ Geophysics/Marine Geology/Earth Science.
Admission : Based on Academic Performance and if necessary entrance test will be conducted. Last Date for submission of applications within 20 days from the publication of PG results
For 5 Year Integrated courses :
M.Sc. Earth Science : Eligibility : 10, +2 conducted by Govt, of Tamil Nadu or equivalent examinations with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
Admission : Based on +2 marks and if necessary entrance test will be conducted. Last date for submission of applications within 20 days from the publication of +2 Result by Govt, of Tamil Nadu.
M.Sc Visual Communication : Eligibility : 10, +2 conducted by Govt, of Tamil Nadu (Academic or Vocational Stream) Admission: Based on + 2 marks and if necessary entrance test will be conducted.

Last date for Submission of applications within 20 days from the publication of+2 result by Govt, of Tamil Nadu.
