Selection will be based on the performance in written test and technical interview to be conducted at the University campus. A stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month will be provided for the selected candidates who do not receive CSIR / UGC / NET fellowship.

Admissions for BA, LL.B and LL.B Programmes for the Academic Year 2009-10

Applications are invited for admission to the following programmes offered by the School of Law.

1. 5-Year Integrated BA, LL.B
2. 3-Year LL.B
(Approved by the Bar Council of India)

Eligibility:

5-Year Integrated BA, LL.B:

A pass in Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) from a recognized board in the first attempt with a minimum aggregate of 70% with English as a subject of study. The applicant should not complete 20 years as on September 1, 2009.

LL. B:

A valid UG degree with First Class from a recognized University and no history of arrears. The applicant should not complete 25 years as on September 1, 2009.

Admission Process:

BA, LL.B: Based on aggregate marks scored in +2
LL. B: Based on aggregate marks secured in UG degree programme and performance in interview evaluated in the ratio of 85:15 respectively.

Application forms can be obtained personally on payment of Rs.250 at the Office of Admissions (Thanjavur & Kumbakonam) or by post on payment of Rs.300 by DD favouring SASTRA payable at Thanjavur. Application form can also be downloaded at www.sastra.edu.
